Shalom Holtz, Ph.D.
“The Tenth of Tevet and the Second of Adar: Hurban Bayit Rishon as a National and International Event”
Shalom E. Holtz, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Bible at Yeshiva University and director of the Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein Honors Program at Yeshiva College. A graduate of Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania, he is the author of numerous comparative studies on law and legal imagery in the Tanakh in light of the legal culture of Mesopotamia. His most recently published book is Neo-Babylonian Trial Records (Society of Biblical Literature, 2014).
